Community Events Updated Weekly | | May | May 17th 2007 | Job Fair! The Charles B. Washington Branch of Omaha Public Library is pleased to announce our spring Job Fair Under the Tent. The job fair will be held Thursday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since our fair has attracted such large crowds in the past, it will be held on the parking lot of the Cathedral of Love Church at 2816 Ames Avenue right next door to the library. We will hold the fair rain or shine. We estimate that 30 organizations will participate. Last year, we attracted over 1000 people to our fourth job fair! Get ready to cruise down the Mighty Mo on Omaha's
only riverboat, the River City Star, and listen to some of
Omaha's hottest bands...Omaha Jazz Connection and
R&B/Old School band R-Style. The River City Star will
begin boarding at 8:30 p.m. and set sail on
Friday, May 25 at Miller's Landing located at 151

The Charles Drew Health Center Annual Golf Classic will take place Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Shoreline Golf Course in Carter Lake, Iowa. This tournament benefits uninsured and underinsured individuals and families in Douglas County served by the Charles Drew Health Center, Inc.
